51082_gates_henry_louisIf you watch any news at all (especially if you watch the Main Stream Media) you can not have missed the great outreaching of passion and understanding that BHO has illustrated with regard to the Professor Gates scandal in Cambridge, MA.  Yes, the savior of our Republic has decided that rather than admit that he was wrong and guilty of racism by openly admitting that he didn’t know all of the facts of the case and still finding himself qualified to state that the Cambridge police acted stupidly.  Obviously, it is a common fact in this country that police always target minorities.  I mean, it couldn’t possibly be anything else, right?  It is completely appropriate for the Leader of the free world to assume race was the primary factor involved in the situation.  Further, it is even better to do it during a primetime news conference about healthcare.  Makes complete sense to me.

The most troubling fact of this whole situation is that the President of the United States when put in a situation to not default to ones race, did the exact opposite.  Based on his own pre-conceived ideas of what white cops do, he chose to soil the reputation of a good cop in MA and now thinks that because he is having him over for a beer, everything is going to be ok.  Professor Gates was not racially profiled, he was caught in a really silly situation that could have easily been defused if he had not decided to be disrespectful to the police officers involved.  Two of the three officers happened to be minorities as well (black and latino).  They both, and they were actually there during the arrest, have stated that the Sergeant that made the arrest acted appropriately and support his actions completely.

If anyone needs to learn something from this it is BHO.  Racism is wrong, right?  I guess that doesn’t apply if you are the President.

John ConyersCongressmen John Conyers (D-MI) has stated that he will be introducing a Constitutional Amendment that will state that Health Care is a right guaranteed by the Constitution and the government will be forced to provide a plan.

This isn’t a new idea sports fans.  FDR had the same idea with his second Bill of Rights in which he stated that you had a right to a job, house and education.  I will be adding a clip of that speech very soon.  I find it extremely troubling that the only time that most of these politicians talk about the Constitution is when they are wanting to change it.

In case there is any confusion, I will clear up  the issue for you.  No, the Constitution does NOT guarantee you a right to healthcare.  Just like it doesn’t guarantee you a right to be happy, sad, rich, or poor.  It says you have a right to “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”  The results are up to you, not the government.

Too Fat to Serve?

So, BHO has nominated Dr. Regina M. Benjamin to be the next Surgeon General of the United States.  Great, right?  She is Black, from a poor background, has worked hard and bettered herself and her community. Completely qualified to speak on healthcare matters, right?  Actually, no.  She is not qualified.

What?  How can that be?  Well, my dear readers, she is fat.  Since we are talking about being politically correct in this Blog, let’s use overweight.  A lot of discussions are taking place around the water coolers of DC about the “qualifications” of this particular BHO appointment.  She is obvioiusly qualified if you use the standard BHO checklist:  Minority, liberal, grew up poor…I’m not sure if she has any tax problems but that would certainly put her over the top.  Throw all of that out the window now.  We have now found the one thing that you can’t be in BHO’s administration; Overweight.

I have a couple of questions:  1.  If weight is so important, then why is Sotomayor getting affirmed as a Supreme Court Judge?  She is overweight.  Sure, she is Latina, from a poor background, and a left leaning judicial activist but shouldn’t all of that fall to the way side?  I mean, if you appoint her as a Supreme Court Judge what kind of an example will that send Americans?  Fat people…Oh, sorry…Overweight people can’t be put in positions of responsibility.  They can’t even control their eating.  What about the children?!

We are living in a world that places every emphasis on your race and sex as the ultimate qualifier for your employability (as long as you aren’t a white/male then you are unqualified) .  My head is spinning.  I can’t keep up with all of this.  Read the article (click on the picture) and do a little research about this Doctor.  I don’t know if she should be appointed or not but I certainly know that the final qualifier shouldn’t be her weight.

Come one come all.  Give me your tired, poor, uneducated masses…..Hey!  You fat people stay over there.

For all of the bleeding hearts out there that whale and gnash their teeth each and every night over the need for a government controlled health care system, listen up. The United States already has one…Its called the Veteran’s Administration (VA). I’m sure I will have a couple of veterans come forward and tell me how wonderful they have been treated by the VA but overall it is a huge government machine that is drowning in paperwork and bureaucracy. Watch the report below from Glenn Beck and maybe you will begin to understand that a government regulated health care system would be the same nightmare only larger.

Anyone that knows me at all or happens to read my Blogs can go to bed each night knowing that I am a politically conservative type of guy and I vote Republican. I will assure you that I am still a conservative but some things have changed. I am not a Republican.

Wake up! No, you aren’t dreaming. Let me explain…no there is too much…let me sum up:

I’m tired of both parties. With the exception of a few politicians in DC, the all need to be fired. They live in a giant void that is called the District of Columbia that does not resemble any world that the average American lives in and they vote wherever the wind takes them. Some hold their ground and actually stand for something but few can actually say that they haven’t compromised their principles for the sake of the “party” or for political expediency. FIRE THEM ALL!

Glenn Beck gave a quick checklist on how to tell if a politician needs to go. If they answer yes to any of these questions, they get voted out of office the next election cycle.

1 – You have voted to raise taxes in a recession.
2 – You have voted for any of the bailouts.
3 – Voted against protecting our borders and enforcing immigration laws.
4 – Voted against building new nuclear power/refining/clean coal energy plants.
5 – Voted to not drill in our own country, thus making us dependent of foreign oil.
6 – Apologized to other countries for the US. We are not perfect but we have done more to help the world than most other countries combined.

Now I’m sure that my readers will have lots to say about this and I invite each and every one of you to speak your mind. Tell me how your politician is different. You never know, he might be one of the few that I think should stay.

Being a politician is supposed to be about serving your country and representing the people that elected you. Control-Alt-Delete. Reboot the system. Let’s break out our Constitutions and return this country to what our founders worked so hard to establish. Either OUR representatives wake up or they go home.
